 | | A Review Of The Olympus TG-810. |
This review of the Olympus TG-810 waterproof digital camera is designed to really help you decide if it is worth spending the money in order to get this particular camera. With so many different options available in this part of the market it can often be difficult trying to decide which one to go for and this is where reading a variety of reviews really does come into its own. The first thing that strikes you about this camera is how tough it is and that it can be used in a wide range of situations and still take great photographs. It can be submerged in water, it is shockproof to 2m, it can be crush proof up to 100kg, and it will even work in temperatures up to -10 so you do know that it can handle anything that you throw at it. It has 14 mega pixels so you know that the images you take are going to be crystal clear and of a high quality and this is certainly going to be a good camera for the holiday maker and somebody that just loves taking photographs of different events. It may not be designed for the professional so this means it has certain things missing but the average person will not see too many failures with this item. It comes with a five times optical zoom which does mean it can take amazing photographs in any location under any conditions. You are also helped by it having a dual image stabilization aspect which means the camera adjusts to avoid blurry pictures no matter what you are doing when you are taking the photograph. This camera has what is known as I-auto which is a clever piece of kit where the camera adjusts itself by comparing what are deemed as common scenes and objects with the settings. The result of this is that in most cases you just need to point and shoot in order to get good photos as the camera really does the rest for you. The LCD screen is more than adequate and does give you crystal clear views of the image that is about to be taken. The back of the camera is also not too cluttered up so you do not have to really worry about pressing buttons inadvertently and therefore screwing up your shot. The only downside of this camera is that you must get a storage card as the on board storage is very small which can be a problem. There is also a bit of a delay between pressing to take the photograph and it actually being done so you need to remember about this or you may move the camera too quickly resulting in a failed attempt to get a picture. So this review of the Olympus TG-810 should conclude by saying it is a very durable, sturdy waterproof camera and if you are into sports it is the ideal one for you. It is not too expensive by comparison to others out there and the majority of times you should be happy with the outcome but do just remember your storage card and learn about the time it takes when pressing the button and you should not have any problems. |
